Born and raised in New York City, Michael Steiner earned a B.A at UCLA in 1961.  Michael begain painting seriously in 1962 at the studio of Mark Zseka in Los Angeles.  He studied with Ben Goo and Ray Fink at Arizona State University  and earned an M.A. at ASU in 1973.
